Abstract

Today, humans live in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 where people are very dependent on the presence of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in carrying out their activities. The Industrial Revolution 4.0 gave birth to a new pattern of life called Society 5.0, which means that humans in carrying out their activities in daily life are closely related to the use of ICT and all kinds of supporting tools. In the era of Society 5.0, humans rely heavily on information systems to support all business processes and digital activities. This research comprehensively explores the scientific philosophy of information systems viewed from the aspects of ontology, epistemology and axiology to find out the scientific basis of information systems viewed from the three aspects
